This is just above Silver Lake in American Fork Canyon. This was taken in early spring and the greens are amazing. In their own way, the greens of the canyon are as diverse as the reds, yellows, and oranges in the fall. d.
These pictures are of a tree full of “helicopter” seeds. When I was little, I’d toss these seeds in the air and was fascinated with how they would float down to the ground twisting like a helicopter blade as they went. The light flowing through the canyon adds some radiance to an otherwise simple subject.
Over the years I have spent a lot of time taking pictures in American Fork Canyon, near Provo, Utah. I have a lot of pictures that capture the seasons and mood of the canyon. I hope that you enjoy them.
I just finished my American Fork Canyon book. This is a compilation of pictures that I have taken from 2004 until now. It turned out pretty cool. Here is the link to view it on Blurb – the website that publishes small volume or one-off books. Unfortunately it is not cheap to print a book of this size. Click this location to thumb through the pages.
